The purpose of every Telehealth Resource Center (TRC) is to assist healthcare organizations, networks, and providers in the implementation of cost-effective telehealth programs to serve medically underserved areas and populations, both urban and rural.
Regional TRCs serve as a focal point for advancing the effective use of telehealth technologies in their respective regions. Additionally, there are two TRCs which have a more national focus. One shares legal and regulatory information from across the nation and the other addresses technology issues. All TRCs are committed to collaboration, sharing their resources and expertise to serve areas and organizations outside their own regions. One example of this collaboration is the monthly TRC webinar series. Click here for more information.
Telehealth Resource Centers are supported through the federal Telehealth Resource Center Grant Program, administered by the Office for the Advancement of Telehealth in the Office of Rural Health Policy, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
