PAST EVENT: 2016 Wedge gpTRAC Forum May 14, 2016
This year’s gpTRAC forum was a different format, and was held all in a single day…”wedged” between the National Rural Health Association annual meeting and the American Telemedicine Association meeting. This event linked the two national events, provided attendees of the gpTRAC Forum the opportunity to learn about issues of interest to both rural health and telehealth.
- Provider Recruitment & Retention
- Georgia Partnership for Telehealth: The Evolution of a Network
- The Importance of Regional Collaboration
- Children’s Telehealth Services
- Telehealth Policy Update
PAST EVENT: gpTRAC Regional Telehealth Conference April 6-7, 2015
The 2015 Regional Telehealth Conference was held April 6-7 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
gpTRAC was excited to again offer an opportunity for the region’s healthcare community to come together to network and learn more about making a difference through telehealth services. This 1.5 day forum offered the opportunity to learn from both regional and national experts as they shared their stories and experiences in developing and implementing telehealth to meet the needs of their area.
We look forward to seeing you in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Please call us at 888-239-7092 if you have any questions.
U.S. Senators Encourage Federation of State Medical Boards’ Efforts for Physician Licensure Portability
In a recent letter, a number of U.S. Senators (several from the gpTRAC service area) encouraged the work being done by the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) to look at options to address the current challenges experienced by many telehealth physicians when dealing with cross-state services and the required licensure. Here are links to both the press release and the letter with their signatures.
On-Line Event Comes Highly Recommended
This on-going “technical assistance” on-line event developed by SAMHSA/HRSA is offered specifically to HRSA-funded safety net providers and rural health clinics, and is recommended for those interested in developing telebehavioral health services. The first session has already occurred, but is still available on-line. Click here for additional information.
gpTRAC Involved with UND Scrubs Academy
This is the second year that gpTRAC has participated virtually in the annual R-COOL-Health Scrubs Academy, hosted by the University of North Dakota and the Center for Rural Health. This year’s event is June 17-20 in Grand Forks, ND.
The Scrubs Academy encourages middle school students from across North Dakota to pursue a career in health care. Students participate in hands-on activities and receive information related to a variety of health care professions, including telehealth. We are excited to be involved again this year! Check in with gpTRAC at the 2012 Minnesota State Fair
Come visit Zoi Hills, gpTRAC Program Manager, at the 2012 Minnesota State Fair. She will again be demonstrating telehealth technologies and coordinating dermatology screenings. It is a great opportunity to introduce Minnesotans to the possibilities telehealth services can bring to them and their communities. The Minnesota State Fair runs from August 23 – September 3, 2012. Click here for the actual dates and times that Zoi will be there.
Telemedicine on a Stick—gpTRAC at the 2011 Minnesota State Fair

- Minnesota State Fair-goers are quizzed on their telehealth knowledge
- The gpTRAC and the University of Minnesota host several dermatogology screening sessions annually at the Minnesota State Fair. Come see (and hear) the buzz at the telemedicine booth!
